The Benevolent Committee within Prosper Ladies Association will consist of PLA members and is accountable to the Board of Directors. The Benevolence fund is officially recognized and designed as a gift. The purpose of the fund is to meet a family or individual's basic needs during a crisis, when all other options have been exhausted. *
The purpose, oversight and accountability, income, guidelines and criteria, and process are found in the Prosper Ladies Association's Benevolence Policy.*
Our committee meets with select non-profit organizations to stay apprised of the community's needs. The committee will meet with the Executive Board and Board of Directors to present requests for Benevolence.
If a situation comes to Prosper Ladies directly, the Executive Board will present the request to the Benevolent Chair for review.
